Vile Ribcage

Vile Ribcage
A relic of savage strength, perfect for forging armour that bears the wild’s fury.

Crafting Station	-
Crafting Materials	Cannot be crafted
Spawn ID	spawn UndeadBjornRibcage

The bear that drops a Vile Ribcage is already dead: a Vile is an undead bear, and it only walks the Plains after dark.

How to Get It

---

Viles spawn at night anywhere in the Plains and are rare, so getting one means patrolling and waiting rather than raiding a lair, with no nest to find and no summoning item to use. They hit as hard as anything else in the biome, but they will not come near flame, and a Campfire or a torch in hand holds them at a distance they hate. You need nothing beyond a weapon, and the ribcage drops alongside Bear Hide and meat.
