Angrenian Cuirass is a medium chest armor from the base game, in Common, Master, Magic, crafted Magic and Relic variants. The Relic variant rolls +100-300 vitality. Nithral drops the crafted diagram during the main quest Wandering in the Dark. The crafted variant is a mid-game piece at level 16, while the Relic one drops from level 14.

Every variant gives +25% piercing, +25% bludgeoning and +35% slashing resistance. The crafted Magic variant gives 105-109 armor at level 16, plus 2 random Magic effects. Its armor value is rolled once, when the diagram is obtained. The Relic variant gives 35-39 armor plus 5 per level.

The loot variants give 30-34 armor plus 5 per level. The Master variant adds 1 random effect, and the Magic variant adds 2.

How to Get Angrenian Cuirass

Common, Master and Magic: Buy them from any armorer in Skellige or Toussaint, or from the merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig. They also drop as random loot.
Magic (crafted): Nithral drops the diagram during Wandering in the Dark. Armorers in Skellige and the sawmill merchant also sell it, and it appears at random diagram locations.
Relic: It drops as random loot after level 14.

Angrenian Cuirass Map Location and Quest Guide

Nithral is a Wild Hunt warrior. He drops the Angrenian Cuirass diagram when defeated in the elven ruins during Wandering in the Dark, a main quest in Velen. The pin marks the elven ruins. Armorers in Skellige and the merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig also sell the diagram.

Enter the elven ruins with Keira Metz to start Wandering in the Dark.
Follow Keira inside. Her portal fails and the two are separated.
Fight back to Keira and destroy the rat nests around her with bombs or Igni.
Follow the swallow images through the ruins and kill the wraiths in the old port cavern.
Go through the inactive portal and defeat the golem behind it.
Protect Keira from the Wild Hunt hounds while she closes the portals to the White Frost.
Defeat Nithral, the Wild Hunt warrior in the main tunnel ahead. Kill the hounds he summons while he heals in his bubble.
Loot his body for the Angrenian Cuirass diagram.
