It gives +10% XP from humans and nonhumans, against 5% on the Blood and Wine grandmaster swords. Its diagram comes from a bookshelf in Kaer Morhen. It arrives in the late game.
Its bonuses spread across swords and Signs: +7% sign intensity, +10% adrenaline gain, +20% crit damage, +7% crit chance and +5% bleed chance. It has 3 rune slots.

The Forgotten Wolven set is medium armor with 3 tiers: standard at level 20, mastercrafted at 34 and grandmaster at 40.
- 3 pieces: potions last 7% longer per set piece.
- 6 pieces: Aard deals extra damage to enemies affected by Yrden.
How to Get Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Steel Sword
- Get the standard diagram from Reinald at the end of In the Eternal Fire's Shadow at Devil's Pit in Grayrocks, and have a journeyman blacksmith craft the sword.
- Read Osmund's notes and Vesemir's note on the bookshelf platform in the Kaer Morhen keep. This finishes Scavenger Hunt: Forgotten Wolf School Gear Diagrams and gives the mastercrafted and grandmaster diagrams.
- Have a master blacksmith craft the mastercrafted tier, then have a grandmaster blacksmith craft this one.
Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Steel Sword Map Location and Quest Guide
The pin marks the Devil's Pit in Velen, where Scavenger Hunt: Forgotten Wolf School Gear Diagrams begins once In the Eternal Fire's Shadow ends. Reinald's spirit gives Geralt the first Forgotten Wolven diagrams in the mine there. The Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Steel Sword diagram comes from reading Osmund's notes and Vesemir's note on the bookshelf platform inside the Kaer Morhen keep.
- Speak to the young Eternal Fire priest by the Devil's Pit signpost in Velen to start In the Eternal Fire's Shadow. He gives Geralt the key to the mine.
- Unlock the gate at the bottom of the Devil's Pit and enter the mine.
- Follow the mine to the doors with Reinald's fifth letter pinned to them.
- Free Reinald from the salt stalagmites with Aard.
- Defeat the possessed Reinald, then the red miasmal that leaves his body.
- Talk to Reinald's spirit. He gives Geralt the Forgotten Wolven diagrams.
- Travel to Kaer Morhen and enter the keep.
- Climb the ladder by the bookshelves to the upper platform.
- Read Osmund's notes and Vesemir's note on the bookshelf at the far end of the platform. This unlocks the mastercrafted and grandmaster diagrams.

Notes
- In NG+ the diagram becomes Grandmaster Legendary Forgotten Wolven Steel Sword. It needs level 40 plus the starting level and has the same bonuses.
- The set is base game content, but the grandmaster blacksmith comes with Blood and Wine.
