Mag Deira Cuirass is a heavy chest armor from the base game, in Common, Master, Magic, crafted Magic and Relic variants. The Relic variant rolls +300-600 vitality. Geralt can earn one from the secondary quest The Path of Warriors. Its Relic variant can drop from level 8, and the crafted one arrives in the mid game at level 26.

Every variant gives +30% piercing, +25% bludgeoning and +30% slashing resistance. The crafted Magic variant gives 155-159 armor at level 26, rolled once when Geralt gets the diagram, plus 2 random Magic effects. The Relic variant gives 35-39 armor plus 5 per level. The loot Master variant adds 1 random effect, and the loot Magic variant adds 2.

How to Get Mag Deira Cuirass

  • Common, Master and Magic: one is the reward for The Path of Warriors, and another is in the reward chest for Out of the Frying Pan, into the Fire. Armorers in Skellige and Toussaint and the merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig sell them. They also drop as random loot.
  • Magic (crafted): help Yoana in the secondary quest Master Armorers to get the diagram. Armorers in Skellige and the sawmill merchant also sell it, and it appears at random diagram locations.
  • Relic: it drops as random loot after level 8.

Mag Deira Cuirass Map Location and Quest Guide

Yoana, the true master armorer at Crow's Perch in Velen, awards the Mag Deira Cuirass diagram at the end of the secondary quest Master Armorers. The pin marks Yoana's forge.

  1. Talk to Fergus, the armorer at Crow's Perch, and ask about mastercrafted armor. His helper Yoana tells of the Clan Tordarroch tools on Undvik.
  2. Sail to Undvik in Skellige and find the Clan Tordarroch Forge.
  3. Kill the troll that guards the forge, then loot the nearby chest for the High-Quality Smithing Tools.
  4. Bring the tools to Fergus. Yoana reveals she is the true master armorer and asks for an archgriffin's acid gland.
  5. Hunt the archgriffin and give its acid gland to Yoana.
  6. Agree to wear Yoana's armor for the test. Refusing fails the quest.
  7. Receive the Mag Deira Cuirass diagram once Yoana's armor wins the test.

Notes

  • Guides differ on the Relic vitality roll: +300-600 or +250-599.
  • In NG+ the crafted variant needs level 26 plus the starting level plus 1.
