For Whom the Bell Tolls is the main job on the Rogue path of the ending, chosen by asking for Rogue's help in Nocturne Op55N1. Johnny Silverhand takes control of V's body and goes to the Afterlife in Little China to convince Rogue Amendiares to raid Arasaka Tower one more time. It needs the side jobs Chippin' In and Blistering Love.
Story
Johnny Takes Over
The journal is Johnny talking to V. He does not know whether V can hear him, or even knows what is going on. He knows that V had real guts to make this choice, and he promises not to mess it up. He will convince Rogue to take on Arasaka Tower for one more wild ride.
From the moment V arrives at the Afterlife, Johnny is in control of the body. He finds Rogue in the same booth where V first met her and talks her into the raid.
Gearing Up
Most of a day passes before the raid. Johnny follows Weyland, Rogue's man, to meet her again. Behind the bar, he collects weapons, ammo and items, and picks up the Retrothrusters, an implant for double jumping. Rogue hands over a shard with the briefing.
Alt
In the netrunner's room, Johnny puts on a netrunning suit, sits in the chair and enters cyberspace to talk to the AI of Alt Cunningham. Afterwards, he returns to Rogue, says he is ready, and the two take the lift to the roof and board a flying car bound for Arasaka Tower. The raid continues in Knockin' on Heaven's Door.
