Hippocratic Oath is an SOS: Merc Needed gig from Regina Jones in Northside, Watson. Bertie made the mistake of joining Maelstrom, and his sister, Lucy Thackery, bought his freedom by agreeing to repair the gang's cyberware for three months. Five months later, Maelstrom still holds her at the Clean Cut clinic on Longshore North. Bertie has paid for her rescue, but Lucy will not leave in the middle of an operation.
Story
Stay, Die or Pay
Regina tells the story in the journal. Blood looks out for blood. Bertie is a hothead who was foolish enough to join Maelstrom, and soon learned the gang's simple rules: stay, die or pay. His sister Lucy chose to pay. Instead of cash, she bought his freedom with her skills, offering three months of cyberware repair. Five months have now come and gone. This gig is on Bertie's money, as he must have had some eddies stuffed in his mattress.
Clean Cut
Three cameras watch the clinic, and a handful of Maelstrom gangers patrol it. Lucy works in the back room on the far left, trying to save a badly hurt ganger named Hans Otto. Though she is held against her will, she is fully committed to her oath. When V tells her to leave, she says she has to finish treating her patient first, and asks for V's help.
