The Ash of War: Stamp (Sweep) is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Heavy affinity and the Stamp (Sweep) skill. It can be picked up early in a run.
Stamp (Sweep) braces the weapon and steps into a low stance that keeps the wielder from staggering and halves incoming damage. A strong attack follow-up unleashes a crouching spinning sweep that hits twice and knocks enemies back. The wide sweep reaches several enemies at once, especially on colossal weapons, and each hit applies the weapon's full status buildup. It suits Strength builds with heavy weapons that want to trade hits safely.
Stats
It grants the Heavy affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Keen, Quality, Fire, Flame Art, Lightning, Sacred, Magic, Cold, Poison, Blood or Occult. The skill costs 5 FP. It fits Greatsword, Colossal Sword, Heavy Thrusting Sword, Curved Greatsword, Great Katana, Axe, Greataxe, Hammer, Flail, Great Hammer and Colossal Weapon.
How to Get Ash of War: Stamp (Sweep) Guide
- Dropped by an invisible Teardrop Scarab that leaves glowing footprints among the pillars on the western shore of Limgrave, northwest of the First Step Site of Grace near the land octopuses.
- Striking just as it approaches reveals it.
- Once obtained, it can be duplicated by trading Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

Skill
The stamp should be timed to absorb an incoming hit, then answered with the sweep while the enemy recovers. A light attack instead of a strong attack gives a faster, FP-free mix-up. The sweep can be jumped over, and both of its hits can be parried, so it is riskier against agile foes than against large, slow ones.
