The Magic Glintblade is a Carian sorcery in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Magic Glintblade is an old sorcery of the Carian royal family, said to be the prototype of the sword-phalanx sorceries wielded by royal enchanted knights. It creates a sigil overhead that launches a seeking glintblade after a brief delay, and charging extends the delay while raising damage, so a charged cast followed by an uncharged one can land at the same moment. Enemies that dodge, NPC invaders in particular, tend to roll as the cast finishes and get hit by the blade afterward, and casters can queue several blades before combat without spending stamina. Because the blade fires from above, it reaches over guard rails, barricades and walls that block enemy projectiles, and circling a slow shielded enemy can expose its back. The Carian Glintblade Staff boosts it, and it suits Carian casters and players who like to set traps.
Effect
Creates a sigil overhead from which one enemy seeking glintblade launches after a short delay; it can be cast while moving, and charging lengthens the delay and raises damage. Each cast costs 12 FP and 22 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Magic Glintblade Guide
- A starting sorcery of the Prisoner.
- Sold by Miriel, Pastor of Vows at the Church of Vows for 3,000 runes.
- If Miriel dies, give Miriel's Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to buy it there.
