Hildir's Chests are empty quest tokens. The brass, silver and bronze strongboxes drop from the minibosses Brenna, Geirrhafa and Zil in three sealed dungeons spread across the Black Forest, the Mountains and the Plains.

Take a chest back to Hildir and more of her stock goes on sale.
How to Get It
Talking to Hildir marks all three sites on your map. Brenna drops the brass chest in the Smouldering Tomb in the Black Forest, Geirrhafa drops the silver chest in the Howling Cavern in the Mountains, and Zil drops the bronze chest in the Sealed Tower in the Plains. Each dungeon matches the difficulty of its biome, which means frost resistance and a cloak for the cavern and Plains-tier armour for the tower. The chests are dead weight and cannot go through a portal, so they have to come home by ship, though they do float if you lose one overboard. Handing one over adds new decorative clothing to Hildir's stock and invites its former owner to raid your base.
Notes
- Hildir's Chests are unusually large when dropped, and they float in water.
- Each chest is very heavy and cannot go through an ordinary Portal, so it usually has to be carried back to Hildir by Boat.
- Returning a chest to Hildir unlocks a new raid in which that chest's miniboss and minions attack your base.
