The Ooze Bomb is thrown rather than swung. It is blob ooze from the Swamp packed into resin and leather, and it leaves a cloud of poison sitting on the ground where it lands. It deals 5 blunt damage. That 5 total damage ranks 24th among ammunition, so it is a step up the ladder rather than the top of it. Carry it for the Frost Blob, which takes more from blunt damage than most things.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 1 Workbench from:
- 5x Leather Scraps: dropped by boars and bats, and dug out of Muddy Scrap Piles.
- 5x Ooze: dropped by Blobs and Oozers in the Swamp.
- 3x Resin: dropped by Greydwarves and Greylings, and by felled trees.

| Resin | Meadows | - | spawn Resin

When to Use It
This is Swamp gear. The Ooze comes from Blobs and Oozers there, so you can make it once you start hunting in the Swamp.
Properties
It leaves a 4 metre poison cloud that lasts 10 seconds. Anything standing in it, except the thrower, takes 40 poison over 7 seconds.
The effect also refreshes: an enemy that stays in the cloud has it reapplied, so the real ceiling is about 97 poison rather than 40. It is a weapon for a doorway or a corridor, not for open ground.
Many creatures are immune to poison, so it is a Greydwarf and Fuling tool rather than a general one.
Notes
- Ammunition damage is added to the weapon's base damage before any other calculation, which is why the arrow, not the bow, decides a shot's damage type.
- Bows fire arrows and Crossbows fire bolts, and these 2 kinds of ammunition are not interchangeable.
- If you carry more than one kind, right-clicking a stack selects which one is used.
