Robes of Embla are the last chest piece a mage will ever need. They are the only part of the set that needs flametal on top of asksvin hide and refined eitr, so they have to wait until the Ashlands has given up all three. The robes give 19 armour, or 25 fully upgraded, and rank 6th among chest pieces. Worn with the rest of the Embla Set, they make up a 57 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 44.
How to Craft
You craft them at a level 2 galdr table with this recipe:
- 20x Linen Thread: spun from flax at a spinning wheel.
- 20x Refined Eitr: refined from sap and soft tissue at an eitr refinery.
- 10x Asksvin Hide: dropped by asksvin in the Ashlands.
- 5x Flametal: smelted from flametal ore in a blast furnace.
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Linen Thread | Plains | Spinning Wheel | spawn LinenThread
| |
| Refined Eitr | Mistlands | Eitr Refinery | spawn Eitr
| |
| Asksvin Hide | Ashlands | - | spawn AskHide
| |
| Flametal | Ashlands | Blast Furnace | spawn FlametalNew
|
When to Use It
This is late game armour. Flametal comes from the Ashlands, the furthest south the map goes.
Upgrades
You can upgrade them 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. The other figures on this page are for quality 1, so this table shows where your own copy sits on the ladder:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Galdr table (Level 2) | 19 | 1000 |

| 2 | Galdr table (Level 3) | 21 | 1200 |
|
| 3 | Galdr table (Level 4) | 23 | 1400 |

| 4 | Galdr table (Level 5) | 25 | 1600 |

Properties
- +50% Eitr regen
- -2% Movement speed
Notes
- The movement speed penalties of chest and leg armor add up, so a full heavy set is 10% slower even before a shield is drawn.
- Armor reduces physical, fire, frost and lightning damage, but it does nothing against poison or spirit damage.
- Every craftable armor piece except Rag Armor gains 2 armor with each upgrade.
