The Eitr Refinery is the dvergr machine that turns raw Mistlands materials into magic, and it stands between a new mage and any staff worth carrying. You pour sap into the funnel at the front and drop soft tissue into the grinder on top, and refined eitr comes out of the spout at the side.

How to Build It

It costs twenty black marble, five black metal, ten Yggdrasil wood, five black core and three sap, and you build it with a workbench in range. It takes a full load of each input and runs unattended while you are out. As it works it throws off arcs of lightning that hurt whatever stands close, so give it a little clearance and a floor that can take it instead of wedging it into a timber corner.
