Drop Refined Eitr on the ground and it spits poison and lightning at whatever stands near it. You make it rather than find it, in an eitr refinery fed with two things from the Mistlands: sap drawn from the ancient roots, and soft tissue cut out of the infested mines.

How to Get It

The refinery is the only way to get it. Build an eitr refinery, fill it with sap and soft tissue, and it produces the refined eitr on its own. Sap comes from a sap extractor fixed to an ancient root. Soft tissue is mined with a pickaxe from the petrified bone inside Mistlands infested mines. The real gate is surviving the Mistlands, not any particular tool. Both ingredients and the finished eitr can go through portals, which makes a forward camp near a root field well worth building.

Notes

  • When you drop Refined eitr on the ground, it gives off occasional sparks that deal 30 poison and 30 lightning damage, the same way the Eitr refinery does while it runs. These sparks damage anything that is not immune to those damage types, including creatures and other structures.
  • Once you have some, you can drop several Refined eitr near Dvergr component crates and let the sparks destroy them, then claim more extractors. This does not anger the nearby Dvergr, even if a Ward is present. You can also use it to destroy the Ward itself and then attack the crate by hand.
