Assassin's Trousers are Relic light trousers from the base game, with a crafted variant and a looted variant. The crafted variant gives 30 armor and +350 vitality at level 11. Melusine drops a looted pair, and one always sits in the treasure chest for Not Only Eagles Dare. The crafted pair is early game, and looted pairs are common random loot, above all in Hearts of Stone content.

Both variants give +5% piercing, +5% bludgeoning and +15% slashing resistance. The looted variant gives 10-11 armor plus 2 per level and rolls +150-200 vitality, so the crafted variant has the higher vitality.

Variants

Each variant has its own figures.

How to Get Assassin's Trousers

  • Relic (crafted): Find the diagram in the underwater hidden treasure far west of Refugees' Camp or at random diagram locations. Armorers in Novigrad, Oxenfurt and Skellige, the merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig and the merchant in Mohrin Village also sell it.
  • Relic (looted): Defeat Melusine, or open the treasure chest for Not Only Eagles Dare. The same merchants sell them, and they drop as random loot.

Assassin's Trousers Map Location and Quest Guide

The relic Assassin's Trousers always appear in the treasure chest of Not Only Eagles Dare, a treasure hunt at Ulula's Needle on Spikeroog, in Skellige. The pin marks the hidden treasure.

  1. Go to the hidden treasure marker at Ulula's Needle on Spikeroog.
  2. Kill the mucknixers there. A drowned dead may also appear nearby.
  3. Loot the body for a note and a key with a ring attached.
  4. Read the note to start the hunt and narrow the search area.
  5. Use Witcher Senses to find the chest near the edge of the search area. Watch out for sirens.
  6. Loot the chest for the Assassin's Trousers.

Notes

  • In NG+ the crafted variant needs level 11 plus the NG+ starting level plus 1, and gives 29 armor at level 12 (+2 per level).
