Bleedout

Bleedout
Bleedout
Class Weapon Mod

Bleedout is a Blade weapon mod that lets Bleeding damage land critical hits. Each tick of Bleeding damage gains extra Crit Chance. At Tier 5 the bonus is large enough to make every tick a critical hit. It suits a Reflexes build that cuts enemies open with katanas, knives and other blades. Bleedout is available from the early game, since melee weapon vendors can stock its lower tiers.

Effect

Bleedout only touches damage over time from Bleeding. The first hit of the blade is unchanged. The bonus applies to the Bleeding that the hit leaves behind.

The bonus is +20% Crit Chance at Tier 1. It rises by 20% at each tier and reaches +100% at Tier 5. A blade needs to apply Bleeding before the mod does anything.

How to Get Bleedout Guide

  • Check melee weapon vendors, which sell lower tiers.
  • Skip time by a day and check again if it is not on sale.
  • Combine a matching pair at the crafting menu to raise its tier.

Upgrades

Bleedout comes in Tiers 1 to 5. A matching pair of the same mod and tier can be combined at the crafting menu into one copy a tier higher. A mod can only go on a weapon of the same tier or higher. Once installed in a weapon, the mod stays in that weapon.

Character Builds

Bleedout belongs on a blade in a Reflexes build. Haemocide is another Blade mod that makes Bleeding last longer, so more ticks can land as critical hits. Opportunist in the Reflexes tree makes Bleeding enemies more susceptible to Finishers. Finisher: Bladerunner unlocks the Blade Finisher, which restores Health. Flash Of Steel then adds Movement Speed and Attack Speed for a few seconds after a Finisher.
