Haemocide is a Blade weapon mod that makes Bleeding last longer. It also adds Crit Chance to the blade. In return, the weapon loses some base damage. It suits a Reflexes build that relies on Bleeding to wear enemies down. Haemocide is available from the early game, since melee weapon vendors can stock its lower tiers.
Effect
Haemocide adds time to every Bleeding effect the blade applies. Bleeding lasts 1 second longer at Tier 1 and 3 seconds longer at Tier 5. The blade also gains Crit Chance, from +5% at Tier 1 to +13% at Tier 5.
The drawback is lower base damage. The penalty is 20% at Tier 1 and shrinks to 10% at Tier 5.
How to Get Haemocide Guide
- Check melee weapon vendors, which sell lower tiers.
- Skip time by a day and check again if it is not on sale.
- Combine a matching pair at the crafting menu to raise its tier.

Upgrades
Haemocide comes in Tiers 1 to 5. A matching pair of the same mod and tier can be combined at the crafting menu into one copy a tier higher. A mod can only go on a weapon of the same tier or higher. Once installed in a weapon, the mod stays in that weapon.
Character Builds
Haemocide belongs on a blade in a Reflexes build. Bleedout is another Blade mod that adds Crit Chance to Bleeding damage. Longer Bleeding gives Bleedout more ticks to land as critical hits. Opportunist makes Bleeding enemies more susceptible to Finishers. Finisher: Bladerunner unlocks the Blade Finisher, which restores Health. Lead And Steel lowers the Stamina cost of blade attacks.
