The Razor is a Techtronika machete, a heavy cleaver for a blade build that likes big, heavy swings. Its in-game line promises that anything short of reinforced concrete comes apart in a few slashes. The wielder only has to be beefy enough to swing it. It works best in a Reflexes build that wants to cut through enemies and dismember them. In Dogtown, the Razor is sold at the EBM Petrochem Stadium. It is also the base blade for the Iconic machete Volkodav. Coach Fred's melee shop in Little China sells the Razor, and enemies drop it. With Phantom Liberty, the weapon shop at the EBM Petrochem Stadium in Dogtown also sells it.
Combat
The Razor is a blade, and its heavy swings can cause Bleeding. With the Slaughterhouse perk, bleeding enemies are easier to dismember. The machete's bleeding cuts therefore lead to more dismemberments. Like any blade, it can block melee strikes. With Lead And Steel, it can block gunfire as well.
The blade finisher matters most when fighting with the Razor. When an enemy's Health is low, a finisher kills it in one strike and gives back part of V's Health. Opportunist makes bleeding, stunned and staggered enemies easier to finish. Bullet Deflect sends blocked bullets back at the shooter while V's Stamina stays above a third. A Razor user can then walk straight at a gunman.
How to Get Razor Guide
- Buy the Razor from Coach Fred in Little China.
- With Phantom Liberty, buy the Razor from the weapon shop at the EBM Petrochem Stadium in Dogtown.
- Loot it from enemies who carry one.

Upgrades
Only Iconic weapons can be upgraded, so a stronger Razor means a higher tier. The Dogtown shop and enemy drops scale with V's level. A bought Razor has the same stats as a looted one of the same tier.
Character Builds
The Razor uses the blade perks in the Reflexes tree. Lead And Steel lowers the Stamina cost of blade attacks and unlocks bullet blocking. Bullet Deflect and Bullet Time send those bullets back. Bullet Time also makes them crit while time is slowed. Finisher: Bladerunner raises blade attack speed and adds the healing finisher. Going The Distance doubles finisher range. Slaughterhouse, the top blade perk, makes every blade hit cause Bleeding. It also raises the dismemberment chance against bleeding enemies and restores Stamina on each dismemberment.
For cyberware, Dense Marrow adds melee damage, but each swing costs more Stamina. Microrotors raise melee attack speed, and Stabber adds crit chance with blades. A Berserk operating system such as the Zetatech Berserk adds damage reduction and attack speed while it is active. It also removes the Stamina cost of melee attacks. Its mod slots take blade and melee mods. Haemocide makes Bleeding last longer and adds crit chance. Severance gives head and limb hits on wounded enemies a chance to dismember and kill outright. Silencio adds crit chance while V is crouched and undetected.
Select a Build
Dashes carry the character behind enemy lines to cut groups apart with blades. Finishers restore Stamina, so the Sandevistan is turned off before each one. High Mitigation from Countershell, NeoFiber and Spring Joints cuts most incoming damage.
