Konpeki Plaza is a luxury hotel owned by Arasaka on the Arasaka Waterfront, Watson. It is the most exclusive hotel in Night City, made only for the elite. Global financiers stay here on business, and nobody looks twice at rival corporate staff sharing a drink. Its name means Azure Plaza.
History
The Hotel
The hotel belongs to a worldwide Arasaka chain, with branches in Tokyo, Singapore, Paris and Washington as well as Night City. It was designed to mix American largesse with Japanese minimalism and give guests a work of art to live in. The Night City branch is still said to pale next to the main hotel in Tokyo.
From the start it has sold itself as a home away from home for the corporate elite. Its lobby bar is a place to mingle with the most powerful people in the city, the mayor included.
The Heist
Yorinobu Arasaka booked the penthouse after stealing the Relic from his father. The chip drew the Voodoo Boys and then Evelyn Parker, who hired Dexter DeShawn to steal it. During the theft, Yorinobu murdered his father in the penthouse and put the hotel under lockdown. After that night, Konpeki Plaza was closed for good.

Inside Konpeki Plaza
Staff and Security
Arasaka provides the security. Anyone who wants to work here must meet strict demands. Staff must be good looking and fit, speak English, Japanese and at least two other languages, and accept modern implants across the whole body.
The Building
The hotel stands in its own walled grounds beside the Waterfront and Del Coronado Bay. A road circles the building from the street gates to the main doors, which look out over the bay, and gardens and an outdoor bar surround it. Two towers rise above the main building, joined by bridges, much like the old Arasaka Towers. The penthouse sits at the top of one of them, with its own landing pad.
Visitors are scanned for weapons at the entrance and greeted by receptionists. The rooms are made of gilded oak and marble and hung with art. Guests can use the bar at any hour, along with an art gallery, a sauna, a pool, a gym, a massage parlour and a new braindance theatre. Higher floors are reached by lifts that need an access card, and the upper levels hold suites, conference rooms and private areas.
Jobs
The Heist takes place here. Jackie Welles and V check in posing as Militech agents selling weapons to a guest, while T-Bug guides them from the net. A small robot called the Flathead disables the security so they can reach the penthouse. Arasaka netrunners kill T-Bug, and Jackie is fatally wounded during the escape.

Notes
The hotel holds two Iconic weapons, Kongou and Satori, both found during The Heist. A Corpo V can bully the receptionist at check in, and later tells Evelyn Parker that the Tokyo hotel is far better.
