The Makigai MaiMai P126 is a tiny two-seat bubble car and one of the cheapest vehicles in Night City. It is built to cut costs in every way, from its size to its plastic body. It is slow and fragile, but it squeezes through traffic and parks anywhere. Players buy it as a joke car, as a cheap early ride, or for its cute Japanese charm. The MaiMai is an early Autofixer car that V can buy at low Street Cred.
Performance
The MaiMai drives the rear wheels with a very small engine. It is also one of the lightest cars in Night City, so it slips through tight streets. Its cheap build makes it fragile in a crash.
How to Get Makigai MaiMai P126 Guide
- Open the Autofixer netpage from an Autofixer terminal or a computer in one of V's apartments.
- Buy the MaiMai P126 for €$ 22,000.

Lore
The Database calls the MaiMai the perfect car for anyone on a tight budget and the cheapest mass-produced car in Night City. Every design choice served one goal: cut costs. It is as small as possible while still fitting two slender people and at most one shopping bag. The text jokes that the engine was probably stolen from a lawn mower and that the plastic is as durable as a disposable fork. Its safety ratings barely keep it street-legal.
The P126 is a stronger variant of the base MaiMai, with more power and a higher top speed for longer trips. A note on the car warns against going fast in strong side winds.
Before the Autofixer, the fixer Wakako Okada sold the MaiMai to V. Her message said it sounds like a fruity cocktail, but that V, V's guns and V's groceries would all fit inside.
Notes
- A female robot voice greets the driver in Japanese when V gets in and says goodbye on the way out.
- The P126 name nods to the Fiat 126p, a small car that was once very popular in Poland.
