No Easy Way Out is a Phantom Liberty side job in which Coach Fred asks V to help a boxer named Aaron Waines in Dogtown. It starts with a text from Coach Fred after Lucretia My Reflection. Aaron needs to reach a ripperdoc to deal with a chip the Animals planted in him to make him lose fights, and the Animals are not about to let him go.
Story
Coach Fred's Friend
Johnny warns V in the journal. Aaron is a big hitter who can handle himself, and helping each other is fine, but V is walking into the lion's den. He begs V not to get killed helping some second rate Dogtown boxer.
V finds Aaron in the middle of a fight at the boxing ring near Montezuma's Throne. A bookie takes bets, and Aaron wins. Afterwards, he asks V to help him reach a ripperdoc, Damir Kovac, before an important fight.
Digimmortal
They meet in the evening at the Digimmortal exhibition in Terra Cognita. Aaron confesses he is in trouble with the Animals. The gang backed his career, but along with his implants it gave him a chip that can knock him out on command, so he can be made to lose. He suspects Angie, a pack leader of the Animals, is after him.
Scavengers guard the way to Damir's clinic. Damir switches the chip off, as removing it would be too risky, while V waits in a chair. Then Angie walks in while Aaron is still sedated. She says Aaron owes the Animals, and offers V a cut of the winnings if V walks away and lets Aaron take the fall.
The Fight
What happens to Aaron depends on V's answer to Angie and what follows. If V takes her offer, she pays V a few days later at the boxing ring, and Coach Fred messages that he is sorry V could not help Aaron. If V refuses, V has to fight Angie and her two Animals, and Aaron goes into his big fight. Days later, Aaron asks V to meet at the Dream Gig bar. He is not there. A server says two big men took him away, and V finds him dead in the alley behind the bar.

Choices
Angie's Offer
Accepting Angie's offer gets V a share of the winnings. A Corpo V can push for a bigger cut, and V can squeeze her for more. Refusing leads to a fight with Angie and her men.
Scaring Angie Off
V can intimidate Angie by mentioning what happened to Sasquatch, and she flees, leaving Aaron unharmed. Aaron then either throws his fight and stays in Dogtown to coach local children, or loses honestly and leaves for Costa Rica to try again as a professional.
Rewards
Completing No Easy Way Out pays €$ 5,000. It also rewards Cheetah (depending on choices).
Defeating Angie gives her Iconic pistol, Cheetah. V is paid a fee whatever the choice, and more if Angie's offer is taken.
Tips
The Scavengers at Digimmortal are not friendly, and they can attack if V strays from the path to the exit.
