The Ash of War: Blinkbolt is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Lightning affinity and the Blinkbolt skill. It is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Blinkbolt is the skill of the golden knights who served Godwyn: from a low stance, the wielder turns into a bolt of lightning and charges straight ahead at great speed. The charge grants a window of invulnerability and deals a small amount of lightning damage on contact. Light or heavy attacks can be input near the end to strike the instant the wielder reappears. It suits Dexterity builds that want an aggressive dodge and repositioning tool on any melee weapon.
Stats
It grants the Lightning affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Heavy, Keen, Quality or Sacred. The skill costs 8 FP. How to Get Ash of War: Blinkbolt Guide
- Ash of War: Blinkbolt is found in a chest in the Fog Rift Catacombs.
- In the third room with a dropping spiked ceiling, a hole in the ceiling can be entered after the trap falls, and riding it back up leads to a platform with the chest.

Skill
Use it to dash through an attack and land right next to the target, then cancel into an attack as the wielder reappears. The invulnerability starts shortly after the input rather than instantly, so it needs a little anticipation. Locked on, the charge always goes straight forward.
