The Scimitar is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring.

The Scimitar is a curved sword with a single-sided blade, smaller than most, that carves into enemies with quick, sharp cuts but struggles against armor and tough scales. It is the starting weapon of the Warrior class, is sold by the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold, and drops from Skeletons in dungeons such as the Deathtouched Catacombs. It shares a unique, graceful light attack chain with the Shamshir that is faster and carries the wielder further than the standard curved sword combo. Its short reach is offset by fast hits that apply status very well, especially with a Blood infusion. It suits a Dexterity bleed build from the start of the game.

Skill

Spinning Slash costs 6 / 12 FP. The wielder spins the whole body to slash foes in a wide circle, and an additional input adds two more spins. Small weapons spin quickly, while greatswords, spears, halberds and other large weapons use a slower, sweeping version. The skill cannot be parried. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.
