The Ash of War: Shriek of Sorrow is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Occult affinity and the Shriek of Sorrow skill. It comes from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Shriek of Sorrow is a skill of the downtrodden: the wielder screams, making nearby enemies flinch, and recalls deep-seated resentment to boost the weapon's attack power. The lower the wielder's HP when casting, the greater the boost. The buff lasts 40 seconds and, unlike War Cry and Barbaric Roar, leaves the weapon's normal heavy attacks unchanged. It suits aggressive low-HP builds and anyone willing to fight at low health for more damage.

Skill
Cast it while HP is low, then heal, since the strength of the buff is set at the moment of casting. Skills that cost HP, such as Bloody Slash or Seppuku, make the higher tiers easier to reach. It counts as a weapon buff, so it does not stack with greases, and the Roar Medallion does not boost it.
