The Ash of War: Sword Dance is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Keen affinity and the Sword Dance skill. It is a mid-game find in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Sword Dance quickly closes the distance with a spinning dash that lands two upward slashes, and an additional input finishes with a heavy downward strike. Every weapon class covers the same distance, and the skill carries heavy hyper armor in all its versions. Small weapons such as straight swords, curved swords, katanas and axes perform it almost instantly. It suits Dexterity builds that want a fast gap closer with good damage.

It grants the Keen affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Heavy, Quality, Fire, Flame Art, Lightning, Sacred, Magic, Cold, Poison, Blood or Occult. The skill costs 6 FP. How to Get Ash of War: Sword Dance Guide
- Dropped by a Teardrop Scarab near the Minor Erdtree in western Liurnia of the Lakes, along the narrow path down to the Road's End Catacombs.
- Once obtained, it can be duplicated by trading Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

Skill
The dash is ideal for punishing enemies that back off or recover at mid range. On greatswords, twinblades and polearms the follow-up has a long delay, so it should be saved for staggered targets. All three slashes can be parried, so it is less safe against parry-heavy enemies.
