The Bloodboon is a Blood incantation in Elden Ring. It can be picked up early in a run.

Bloodboon is the sacred incantation of Mohg, Lord of Blood, who was besotted with defilement after his accursed blood erupted with fire before the Formless Mother. The caster thrusts an arm into the Formless Mother and scatters bloodflame ahead, setting the area ablaze with fire damage and leaving burning pools that build up blood loss, and it can be cast while moving. Each pool adds its own bleed buildup, which makes it highly effective against large crawling enemies such as Magma Wyrms. Free-aiming above a target instead of locking on drops the flames right onto it, and since the bleed comes from the bloodflame it does not scale with Arcane. It suits blood oath builds that want an area-denial tool that stacks bleed.

Effect

Thrusts an arm into the Formless Mother and scatters bloodflame ahead, leaving burning pools that build up blood loss; it can be cast while moving. Each cast costs 13 FP and 34 stamina and takes up one memory slot.

Notes

"Sacred incantation of Mohg, Lord of Blood. Thrust arm into the body of the Formless Mother, then scatter the bloodflame to set the area ablaze. This incantation can be cast while in motion. The mother of truth craves wounds. When Mohg stood before her, deep underground, his accursed blood erupted with fire, and he was besotted with the defilement that he was born into."
