The Kite Shield is a Medium Shield in Elden Ring. It is found in Liurnia of the Lakes, around the middle of a run.

The Kite Shield is a standard medium-sized metal shield, and like other metal shields it reliably negates physical damage when guarding, a trait that made them highly trusted on the battlefield. It is sold for 1,000 runes by the Nomadic Merchant at the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace, and later by the Twin Maiden Husks. It weighs 4.5, needs 12 Strength, has a solid guard boost for its class and carries No Skill as its default. It suits Faith and hybrid characters who want a dependable mid-weight shield.

It blocks all physical damage, and against the elements it holds up best to magic, at 47%, and worst to lightning, at 33%. A block that drains the last of the stamina bar breaks the guard, leaving an opening for a critical.

Held in the off hand while casting buffs or fighting, blocking with full physical negation.
