The Frozen Lightning Spear is a Dragon Cult incantation in Elden Ring. It is picked up mid-game, in the Ainsel River.
Frozen Lightning Spear channels the power of the Dragonkin Soldiers, born in the Eternal City where they knew no true sky or true lightning, and wielded ice lightning instead. The caster leaps up and stabs a spear of ice lightning into the ground, sending overlapping fields of lightning forward that deal lightning damage and heavy frostbite buildup. Against large enemies it hits several times, piling on damage and frost, which makes it a good early alternative to Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike. It traces to the ground before firing, so it can be used near ledges to hit enemies below, though its turn angle after casting is limited. The Gravel Stone Seal, the Death Knight set and lightning boosts all raise its damage, and it suits dragon cult faith builds that want frostbite in their kit.
Effect
Stabs an ice lightning spear into the ground from above, sending trails of lightning forward that build up frostbite. Each cast costs 29 FP and 39 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
