The Scarlet Aeonia is an incantation in Elden Ring, from the Servants of Rot school. It can be picked up early in a run.
Scarlet Aeonia is the technique of Malenia, Goddess of Rot, whose rot advances each time the scarlet flower blooms, and with the third bloom she will become a true goddess. The caster is wrapped in a scarlet bud, slams down and blooms into a giant flower that explodes with physical damage and scarlet rot, knocking enemies down, then leaves a lingering cloud that keeps building rot. Scarlet rot drains a share of the target's maximum HP over time, so it is powerful against bosses and high-health enemies that are not immune. The caster can roll out once the bud explodes instead of sitting through the whole animation. It suits rot-focused faith builds and anyone who wants Malenia's signature attack.
Effect
Wraps the caster in a scarlet bud that slams down and blooms into a giant flower, exploding with scarlet rot and leaving a lingering rot cloud. Each cast costs 48 FP and 50 stamina and takes up three memory slots.

Scarlet Aeonia is obtained by trading the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess, dropped by Malenia, Blade of Miquella, with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold.
