The Nagakiba is a Katana in Elden Ring. The longest katana and the second infusable one, so it is the reach-plus-flexibility pick.
When to Use It
Mid game. It is found around Second Church of Marika, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.
Why Players Pick It
- Costs the most stats in the non-DLC set at Str 18 / Dex 22.
Upgrades
- Upgrades with ordinary Smithing Stones to +25.
- Can be buffed with a grease or a spell, which a Somber weapon cannot.
Build
It scales Str D, Dex C, so Dex is where the levels go.
- Requires Str 18, Dex 22.
- Takes any Ash of War and any affinity, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are levelling.
- Causes blood loss buildup (45), without any infusion needed.
Notes
- Katana with a ferociously long blade. Signature weapon of Yura, hunter of Bloody Fingers.
- Reminiscent of a reinforced spear, its imposing length can be put to good use with powerful thrusting attacks.
Where to Find
- Received with the Piercing Fang Ash of War and Standard affinity on it.
- Either dropped by Bloody Finger Hunter Yura at the end of his questline at the Second Church of Marika or after being killed by the player.
- Otherwise, found at the last spot he was encountered before meeting Shabriri on the Mountaintops of the Giants.
