Count Ymir, High Priest is a character in Elden Ring. It is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Count Ymir, High Priest is a glintstone sorcerer who rules the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in the Realm of Shadow. He sells sorceries and sends the Tarnished to ring the bells of the Finger Ruins. Each bell rung earns new maps and new spells in his shop. The path he lays out leads to the Mother of Fingers and to a dark secret of his own.
Lore
Ymir is an aged sorcerer in the robes of a high priest who carries a maternal staff.
He is a glintstone sorcerer who studies the stars and the life within them. In the Finger Ruins he learned the secrets of the Greater Will and became a high priest of the Mother of Fingers.
Grief for his dead son drove Ymir to seek the power of Metyr for himself. Once the Mother of Fingers fell, he took up her role, and the guardians he called the Swordhands of Night stood with him.

Quest
The steps below follow Count Ymir's questline from start to finish.
- Speak to Ymir in the Cathedral of Manus Metyr to receive the Ruins Map and the Hole-Laden Necklace.
- Ring the bell in the Finger Ruins of Rhia and report back for the next Ruins Map.
- Ring the bell in the Finger Ruins of Dheo in Scaduview and report back for the third Ruins Map.
- Rest, then open the passage under his empty throne and descend to the Finger Ruins of Miyr.
- Defeat the invader Anna, ring the last bell, and defeat Metyr, Mother of Fingers.
- Return to the throne, defeat Swordhand of Night Jolán, then defeat Ymir himself.
- Take the Cherishing Fingers from the graveyard west of the cathedral.
