Metyr, Mother of Fingers is a legendary boss in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Metyr, Mother of Fingers is the mother of the Two Fingers and the first star to fall upon the Lands Between. She lies hidden in the Finger Ruins of Miyr, below the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. She fights with sorcerous gazes, ground-shattering head slams and gravity. She waits calmly at first, giving time to buff and summon.
Lore
Metyr is a vast creature built from countless fingers, with two great arms in front and a belly of smaller fingers. A glowing microcosm crowns her body.
Metyr was a gleaming daughter of the Greater Will and the first shooting star to fall upon the Lands Between. Through her microcosm she received signs from the Greater Will. She gave birth to the Two Fingers who guide the empyreans and the Tarnished.
In time Metyr was broken and never again received a signal from the Greater Will. She began to birth the aberrant fingercreepers instead. Count Ymir found her hidden below his cathedral.

Phases
- Phase 1: Metyr fights with head slams, gazes and finger attacks.
- Phase 2: at half health she summons a gravity well above her and adds new attacks.
Attacks
- Kowtower's Resentment: she raises her glowing head and smashes it down, and seven lines of ground explode in a cone. Standing between the lines or rolling to her side avoids it.
- Gaze: her head glows at range before a magic beam. A sideways roll avoids it.
- Leaps: she jumps to gain distance despite her slow walk.
- Gravity well: at half health a gravity well hits the area beneath her. The transition is a big opening to deal damage.
Tactics
- Buff and summon before she attacks, since she waits at the start.
- Raise Scadutree Blessing before the fight.
- Equip the Spelldrake Talisman +3 against her magic.
- Summon Redmane Knight Ogha, Greatshield Soldiers, Black Knife Tiche or Dung Eater.
- Punish her phase two transition with everything available.
- Use slash weapons with blood loss, because she is weak to both.
