The Carian Phalanx is a Carian sorcery in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Carian Phalanx is one of the sorceries of the Carian royal family, an enhanced form of the glintblade sorcery used by enchanted knights. It raises an arch of nine glintblades above the caster that wait until an enemy comes close and then fire one by one, and it can be cast while on the move. The blades are a good way to wear down stance and to track invisible foes such as Black Knife Assassins and invisible Teardrop Scarabs, and they hold their fire while the caster faces away from the enemy. They break on contact with any surface, so the spell cannot be prepared ahead of a boss fog gate, and casting another phalanx effect such as Glintblade Phalanx replaces it. It suits defensive casters and PvP players who want to punish reckless approaches.
Effect
Creates an arch of nine magic glintblades over the caster that fire one by one at foes who come close. Each cast costs 24 FP and 16 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Carian Phalanx Guide
- Sold by Preceptor Seluvis at Seluvis's Rise in Liurnia of the Lakes for 12,000 runes.
- If Seluvis dies, give Seluvis's Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to buy it there.
