Dragonkin Soldier is a field boss in Elden Ring.
The Dragonkin Soldier is a giant, gaunt imitation of a dragon that dwells deep beneath the earth. One rests in a shallow basin of the Siofra River, and another stands in the Lake of Rot. It crawls on long arms and crushes the ground with slams and shockwaves. It is slow to rise at the start of the fight, which leaves room for a strong opening.
Lore
The soldier is a towering humanoid with lanky arms and legs and a great gaping hole in its chest. It wears little armor beyond a red and black cape with gold embroidery.
The Dragonkin Soldiers were born from gravel stone in the Eternal City. Never knowing the true sky or true lightning, they wielded ice lightning instead.
They never attained immortality, and perished as decrepit, pale imitations of their skyborn kin.
Where to find Dragonkin Soldier Location?
- Siofra River, in a shallow basin in the western part of the river, south of the Worshipper's Woods Site of Grace
- Lake of Rot, in the eastern part of the lake, reached by raising the stone platforms

Attacks
- Arm Swing: it sweeps one arm along the ground; dodge forward and stay by its legs.
- Dragging Claw: it raises its right arm into a claw and drags it across the ground; run forward or back as the claw forms.
- Lunging Claw: it crawls a step and slams its left arm far forward with a shockwave; roll aside as the arm falls.
- Palm Slam and Elbow Drop: heavy slams with a shockwave; run beneath it or roll as the arm peaks.
- Two-Hand Slam: both hands rise and slam down with a large shockwave, often against foes beneath it; back off and jump attack as the elbows fall.
- Body Slam: it stands on its hind legs, stomps and collapses forward; run away as it rises and jump the final wave.
- Deep Slam: it drives a hand deep into the ground and tears it out with two large shockwaves; retreat until the arm is free.
- Charge: a staggering roar, then a rushing string of slams and swings; start running as soon as it roars.
Tactics
- Land several hard hits while it slowly rises at the start.
- Stay near its legs, aiming at elbows and knees rather than its belly.
- Back off when both hands rise, then jump attack in as they come down.
- Circle clockwise at medium range when fighting with spells.
- On the Lake of Rot, fight from the raised platforms to avoid the rot.

Slash weapon at the legs
It takes extra damage from slashing, and its legs are the safest target.
Mist and ranged spirits
Its large body stays in Night Maiden's Mist for a long time, and ranged spirits wear down its health.
