The Freezing Mist is a Cold sorcery in Elden Ring. It shows up mid-run, in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Freezing Mist is a sorcery once used by the old snow witch, the crone who taught the young Ranni to fear the dark moon as she imparted her cold sorcery. It releases a cold mist that builds up frostbite on enemies inside, usually triggering it within a few seconds, and charging widens the cloud without speeding the buildup. The mist does not alert unaware enemies even when frostbite procs, and unlike Night Maiden's Mist it never affects the caster or allies. Its buildup is flat, so neither Intelligence nor the Snow Witch Hat increases it, and it works best in tight spaces where a target cannot easily walk out. It suits stealthy frost builds and battlemages that open fights with frostbite before following up.
Effect
Releases a cold mist in front of the caster that builds up frostbite on enemies inside; it can be cast while moving, and charging enlarges the mist. Each cast costs 20 FP and 13 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Freezing Mist Guide
- Sold by Preceptor Seluvis at Seluvis's Rise in Liurnia of the Lakes for 6,000 runes.
- If Seluvis dies, give Seluvis's Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to buy it there.
