The Jellyfish Shield is the head of a spirit jellyfish, commonly found floating above sacred ground throughout the Lands Between, wielded without modification as a shield. It lies on a broken wagon beside a corpse surrounded by four jellyfish, directly north of the Foot of the Four Belfries Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes. It is the lightest greatshield at 8 weight, tied with the Wooden Greatshield, and despite its description it still fully blocks physical damage from piercing attacks. Its unique skill, Contagious Fury, incites the jellyfish's wrath to raise attack power for a duration, as long as the shield stays equipped and the main weapon is not two-handed. Needing only 20 Strength and 14 Dexterity, it suits melee and caster builds alike as a damage buff.

The Jellyfish Shield is the only shield that raises the wielder's damage, since Contagious Fury boosts all damage by 12.5% for 30 seconds while the shield stays out. Contagious Fury costs 9 FP. The wielder raises the Jellyfish Shield as it flushes red, raising attack power by 12.5 percent for 30 seconds. The buff ends the moment the shield is no longer held, including when it is swapped out or the right-hand weapon is two-handed. It counts as its own kind of buff, so it stacks with weapon and body buffs. The skill is unique to this weapon and cannot be swapped out.

With a guard boost of 52, a blocked hit that would cost 100 stamina only costs 48. It blocks all physical damage, and against the elements it holds up best to magic, at 52%, and worst to lightning, at 40%. If a block empties the stamina bar, the guard breaks and a critical hit can follow.

Kept in the off hand as a buff: cast weapon and body buffs, then raise Contagious Fury so it stacks with them before attacking or casting.
