Onyx Lord is an evergaol boss in Elden Ring.
The Onyx Lord is a tall, stone-skinned sorcerer of an ancient race who wields gravity and falling stars. One is sealed in the Royal Grave Evergaol behind Caria Manor in Liurnia. Another guards the end of the Sealed Tunnel on the Altus Plateau, on the way to the Divine Tower of West Altus. Its meteor storm is deadly, but its long casting animation leaves clear openings.
Lore
The Onyx Lord is a tall figure with skin of dark stone, pointed ears and wispy hair, marked with pale streaks across its body. It wears only a loincloth and a metal belt and carries a greatsword of golden meteoric ore.
The Onyx Lords were a race of ancients with skin of stone, said to have risen to life when a meteor struck long ago. They were called lords in reverential fear of their destructive power.
Their gravity sorcery focused on repulsion and on calling down a rain of small meteorites from a void.
Where to find Onyx Lord Location?
- Royal Grave Evergaol, Liurnia of the Lakes, beside the graveyard behind Caria Manor (Behind Caria Manor Site of Grace)
- Sealed Tunnel, Altus Plateau, at the end of the tunnel behind several illusory walls, blocking the way to the Divine Tower of West Altus

Weaknesses
| Immune | Frostbite, Madness |
|---|
Attacks
- Meteorite: it plunges its sword into the ground with a shockwave, then a void above it hurls meteorites that burn the ground; roll the plunge and get behind it, or sidestep the slow meteors from range.
- Gravity Well: it fires an orb of gravity that pulls its target in, or swipes with it at close range to knock foes away; dodge sideways or through the orb with precise timing.
- Slice and Dice: a rising slash while dashing to its left, then a sweeping slash the other way; roll through the first slash toward its right shoulder and counter from behind.
Tactics
- Fight near the edge of the evergaol, since the uneven center makes meteors burst close by.
- Punish the long Meteorite cast by getting behind it after the sword plunge.
- Dodge the Gravity Well with tight timing; it tracks well.
- Interrupt its moves with two-handed heavy or jumping attacks.
- Use guard counters; it moves slowly and staggers easily.
- Circle counterclockwise and attack its back.
