The Reed Great Katana is a Great Katana in Elden Ring. It has the highest physical attack of any great katana in the game. It is a mid-game find.

The Reed Great Katana is a large katana with a long, heavy blade, a weapon unique to the warriors of the Land of Reeds. It rests with a corpse seated in meditation on top of a white rock structure directly north of the Fort Faroth Site of Grace in Caelid. Like other great katanas it is heavier than a common katana but has longer reach and higher base damage, and its honed edge incites blood loss at 55. It carries Overhead Stance as its default skill, scales with Strength and Dexterity at D, and has the lowest requirements of the infusible great katanas at 11 Strength and 16 Dexterity. It suits Dexterity builds that want great katana reach and bleed.

Skill

Overhead Stance costs 0 FP. The wielder raises the blade high in a ready stance, which costs nothing to hold. A normal attack steps forward into a single downward slash, while a strong attack delivers a series of three downward slashes, each follow-up costing FP. Holding the stance for a moment first lets Rellana's Cameo boost the follow-ups. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Played like the Great Katana as a two-handed Dexterity weapon, using Overhead Stance for heavy stance damage on bosses.
