Type	Smithing Stone

Held	999

Smithing Stone [8] is an upgrade material in Elden Ring.

Smithing Stone [8] is the highest regular grade of smithing stone. It takes a regular armament from +21 to +24. It is found late in a run, mostly in the Consecrated Snowfield, Crumbling Farum Azula and Miquella's Haligtree. After +24, only an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone can finish the weapon.

Use

---

Smithing Master Hewg in Roundtable Hold or War Counselor Iji in Liurnia of the Lakes performs the upgrade, because a smithing table stops at +3. Each step uses two, then four, then six stones. Each step also costs runes.

"Stone used to smith a variety of armaments. Found in a polar region, it is semi-vitrified. Strengthens armaments up to +24. Thought to have been used to hone the weapons of the champions of the War against the Giants at the birth of the Erdtree."
