The Ranger Set is a Revelwood ranger armor set for all-round bow use. Its strength is general ranged damage and critical chance with steady stamina. The Hunter crafts it, and pieces also turn up in chests.

Pieces

The hood raises ranged critical chance, and the gloves add a little damage to every ranged attack. The vest and trousers add stamina, and the boots speed up stamina regeneration. The bonuses apply to all ranged attacks rather than one style.

How to Get Ranger Set Guide

The Hunter makes every piece. Armor recipes unlock on their own each time the Flame is upgraded, one crafting tier at a time. It is the craftable bow set of the Revelwood tier, next to the Cutthroat armor for daggers. The main materials are Reptile Leather, Copper Bars, Linen and Indigo Plant, with Bones and Goo for the smaller parts.

Levelling and Upgrades

The Hunter upgrades ranger armor for Runes. Crafted pieces are rare quality, while chests can hold common to legendary ones. The quality sets how many upgrade perks a piece can unlock. Legendary pieces unlock the most and need Legendary Runes for the later steps. The perks here add resistance to blunt, piercing, cutting and Shroud damage, more stamina, and extra levels in skills such as Marksman, Puncture and Fatal Precision. Upgraded gear peaks at level 55, far above the Revelwood tier. The bow line continues with the Hunter Set in the Nomad Highlands. Outgrown pieces salvage back into runes.

Lore

The Ranger descriptions describe a hunter who stalks prey through the woods. The hood shields the eyes from the sun, so the gaze can stay focused. The vest offers only minor protection against arrows, though the description says that hardly matters, because the best defence is to aim for the eyes. The gloves are simple and made from ethically sourced organic leather. The trousers shield the legs from brambles and thorns. The boots are made for those who want to lurk quietly through the thicket.
