Anglerfish hang in the cold water off the Mistlands shore, and their little dangling light is usually the first thing you see of one.

How to Get It
To catch one, take a Fishing Rod and Misty Fishing Bait out onto the water just off the Mistlands. Ordinary bait will not draw them, and the good water lies off the coastline rather than inland, so a boat helps. You make Misty Fishing Bait at a Food Preparation Table from 20 Fishing Bait and a Lox Trophy, which means a hunt in the Plains before the fishing trip. Both the rod and the plain bait are sold by Haldor. Reel slowly and keep some stamina in hand, because a hooked Anglerfish pulls hard.
Quality
Fish do not have stars. Instead, each one has a quality from 1 to 5, rolled when it spawns. Most waters give a 20% chance to step up a level, while the Ashlands and Deep North give 15%. A higher quality fish is visibly larger, weighs more and gives more Raw Fish when you clean it at a Food Preparation Table.
