Dundr is an elemental staff that settles fights at range with lightning. The Galdr Table will only make it once the Ashlands have given you Flametal and a Bloodstone. It deals 20 lightning damage, and at 20 total damage it ranks 6th among magic staves, so it is a step on the ladder rather than the top of it. Carry it for Lava Blob, Morgen and Blob, which take more lightning damage than most things do.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 2 Galdr Table from:
- 10x Ashwood: Chopped from scorched trees in the Ashlands.
- 4x Flametal: Smelted from flametal ore in a blast furnace.
- 3x Celestial Feather: Dropped by fallen valkyries in the Ashlands.
- 1x Bloodstone: Found in the charred fortresses of the Ashlands.
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ashwood | Ashlands | - | spawn Blackwood

| Flametal | Ashlands | Blast Furnace | spawn FlametalNew

| Celestial Feather | Ashlands | - | spawn CelestialFeather

| Bloodstone | Ashlands | - | spawn GemstoneRed

When to Use It
It is a late-game staff. Flametal comes from the Ashlands, the furthest south the map goes.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. All other stats on this page are for quality 1, so use this table to see where your own copy sits:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Lightning | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Galdr table (Level 2) | 20 | 200 |
|
| 2 | Galdr table (Level 3) | 23 | 250 |
|
| 3 | Galdr table (Level 4) | 26 | 300 |
|
| 4 | Galdr table (Level 5) | 29 | 350 |
|
Properties
It fires 12 lightning bolts at once at short range. Each bolt carries the listed damage, so if all 12 connect they deal 240 to 348 lightning depending on quality. It is a shotgun, and it works best up close.
It reloads like a crossbow: every shot is followed by a 1.9-second animation during which the Eitr is slowly spent. You can walk and jump during it, but running or dodging cancels it, which is dangerous in the Ashlands where you are usually surrounded.
It is the answer to Morgen. Morgen are weak to lightning and big enough that most of the 12 projectiles land. Fight them in a Putrid Hole, where nothing can flank you during the reload.
Notes
- It has high knockback and recoil, like a crossbow, which is useful for pushing a single slow threat such as a Charred Warrior away from you.
- It levels Elemental Magic very fast, because you gain experience for every projectile that connects and each shot fires 12 of them.
