The Grausten window 4x2 is the widest way to let light into a hall without opening the wall: four units across and two high, made from ten blocks of Grausten and filed under Windows & Dividers. It throws daylight the length of a stone room and gives an archer somewhere to shoot from, while the stone between the openings still stands up to whatever is hammering on the other side.
How to Build It
It costs 10x Grausten and needs a Stonecutter in range to place it and to repair it. It is a full wall panel rather than a hole cut into one, so it has to drop into a run of wall that already carries its weight to the ground. Grausten support climbs up from the earth, so raise the courses beneath it first instead of hanging the window off a timber frame.
