Rain stops at its edge, and so do arrows: the Shield Generator throws a dome over a base and keeps the weather and incoming fire outside. It is filed under Crafting Stations and built from Iron, Copper and a Shield Core prised out of the Mistlands, and it is the piece that finally makes an exposed camp liveable.
How to Build It
It costs five Iron, five Copper and one Shield Core, placed near a Workbench. It runs on bone of any kind, so Bone Fragments or Charred Bone go in the way ore goes into a smelter, and the dome burns through that stock every time it soaks up a hit. Place it at the centre of what you want covered, not off at one edge, since the field is a sphere around the generator itself. Top up the fuel before a raid rather than in the middle of one.
