Roughly one attempt in four leaves your armour worse than it was. That is the gamble the Wooden Protection Idol offers. You loot it from chests scattered through the Meadows and spend it at the Forge of Potential .
What It Is For
How to Get It It turns up in the same places as the Battle Idol: the loot chests at Meadows points of interest, from abandoned houses to landlocked shipwrecks. Only patience gates the search. Take what you find to the Forge of Potential in the Mountain , the only station that accepts it, and pick a single armour piece to stake. Roughly two attempts in three raise that piece a quality level, and about one in four drops it a level. The rest destroy the piece and return half of what went into making it. The idol is used up either way, so once you start, you cannot walk the trade back.
