Harrisi is a Venomous Arachas, one of the Insectoids. This huge female lairs in an old mine near the Inn at the Crossroads in Velen. It is the target of a level 33 witcher contract, so it belongs to the later part of the game.

Lore

The woods and bogs of Velen are full of monsters, and everyone there knows it. When the war drove refugees into this hostile land, some of them tried to escape the dangers of the lowlands. They hid in an abandoned mine. The shaft they chose was already the home of a poisonous arachas, a merciless and bloodthirsty monster.

The arachas had lived in the mine for years. In that time it grew large, strong and tough. A Velen peasant woman who saw it said it stood at least four spans high.

Behaviour

Harrisi lays its eggs in the caverns of the mine. Like the rest of its kind, it is dangerous both up close and at a distance.

Weaknesses

Coat the silver sword with Insectoid Oil. Harrisi is venomous, so drink Golden Oriole before the fight. Swallow helps as well. The arachas is vulnerable to Signs, especially Igni, Aard and Yrden. Igni is the strongest choice, because burning wears it down well. A Northern Wind bomb also works against it.

Harrisi throws out a web to drag its prey within reach. It shoots poisoned projectiles from afar. Once the venom sac on its back is full, it releases a large cloud of poison gas. Keep Quen up to soak the hits.

Contract: Missing Brother Bruno Inn at the Crossroads, Velen Crowns, Arachas trophy

Harrisi is the target of Contract: Missing Brother, a contract in Velen. The notice hangs on the board at the Inn at the Crossroads. A man named Bruno posted it to find a missing brother.

Inside the mine, the Witcher Senses show where the monsters come from: clutches of arachas eggs. All twelve eggs must be destroyed with Signs. The trail ends in the arachas' lair, where Harrisi waits.

After the kill, take a trophy from the body and return to Bruno. The witcher arrived too late to save the refugees but avenged their fate.
