The Colby CX410 "Gran Butte" is a bright orange pickup that V can simply drive away from an abandoned photo shoot in the Badlands. It is a Thorton Colby CX410 Butte with its own paint and Southern California plates. It drives like the standard Butte, an all-wheel drive work truck, and it costs nothing. Players grab it as a free early truck for the desert and as a collector's piece. V can claim the Gran Butte at any time the Badlands are open by finding it at the Desert Film Set and finishing the short side job Dressed to Kill.
Performance
The Gran Butte shares its specifications with the standard Colby CX410 Butte. It drives all four wheels, which helps on dirt tracks and sand, and its engine is modest. It is a steady, practical truck rather than a fast one.

Lore
A clothing company held a photo shoot in the desert to show off a rugged fashion line. The Gran Butte was the centrepiece of the shoot, standing in for an executive car. The shoot drew the Wraiths, who opened fire on the models. The models had brought their own guns, and a firefight broke out. The survivors fled in an AV and left the set, and the truck, behind.
A shard on one of the bodies tells this story. V finds the scene after a Trauma Team AV flies away.
Notes
- The standard Colby CX410 Butte is a separate car that the Autofixer sells.
