The Thorton Galena G240 is the cheapest car V can buy in Night City. It is a small, basic hatchback built to get people from one place to the next. Its performance is unremarkable, and the game's own Database says so openly. Players who just want a car of their own for very little money will start here. Its main appeal is the price. The Galena G240 is an early purchase on the Autofixer netpage, with the lowest price of any car on sale.
Performance
The G240 is an economy hatchback with plain performance. It is a car for ordinary trips through the city rather than for chases or races.
The car makes up for its plain performance with its price. It costs less than any other car on the Autofixer netpage, so it is within reach almost at once.
Perks help even the cheapest car in a fight. Fury Road from the Body tree raises collision damage against enemy vehicles. It also halves the damage V's own car takes in a crash. Gearhead from the Technical Ability tree adds vehicle health. Stuntjock from the Reflexes tree removes the bullet spread penalty for shooting while driving.
How to Get Thorton Galena G240 Guide
- Open the Autofixer netpage at an Autofixer terminal or on the computer in one of V's apartments.
- Find the Galena G240 in the Thorton section.
- Buy it for €$ 13,000.

Lore
The in-game Database opens with an old saying: people once wanted only bread and circuses. Later, cars joined that list. Without a car, nobody can get to work, take the kids to kindergarten or escape a sudden turf war.
Thorton built the Galena after a government stimulus to produce affordable cars and help Americans recover from a recession. The company had little experience with small cars at the time. It bought the Galena's engines from Mahir Motors of India. The Database says the partnership was not a success. The Galena gave unremarkable performance and even less remarkable sales. Still, it drives, and the Database calls that the most important thing.
Notes
- The Galena "Gecko" is a nomad rebuild of the Galena with mounted machine guns.
