The Thorton Mackinaw MTL1 is a big, no-nonsense pickup truck. It is a workhorse that traders use both in the city and on the desert roads around it. Its engine is modest, so it is never a fast car. Players who want a cheap, practical truck will find it here. Its value lies in being solid and affordable. The Mackinaw MTL1 is an early to mid game purchase on the Autofixer netpage once V has enough Street Cred.
Performance
The MTL1 is an economy pickup. It is a car for hauling and for steady driving, both in the city and out in the Badlands.
Perks shape how the car copes with trouble. Fury Road from the Body tree raises collision damage against enemy vehicles. It also halves the damage V's own car takes in a crash. Gearhead from the Technical Ability tree adds vehicle health. Stuntjock from the Reflexes tree removes the bullet spread penalty for shooting while driving.
How to Get Thorton Mackinaw MTL1 Guide
- Raise V's Street Cred until the MTL1 unlocks on the Autofixer netpage.
- Open the netpage at an Autofixer terminal or on the computer in one of V's apartments.
- Find the Mackinaw MTL1 in the Thorton section.
- Buy it for €$ 33,000.
Thorton Mackinaw MTL1 Map Location
The map shows the Autofixer terminal in Northside, Watson, the one closest to V's apartment and one of the terminals where V can buy it.

Lore
The in-game Database calls the Mackinaw MTL1 a staple, all-purpose vehicle. It says the truck is solid but not clunky, and cheap but not junk. Small and large traders alike drive it on Night City's roads. It also copes with the desert terrain around the city.
The Database is honest about its limits. Its modest engine will not push it to any crazy speed. As the Database puts it, nobody buys a pickup for racing.
Notes
- The Mackinaw "Demiurge" is a monster truck built from the same Mackinaw line, found free in the Badlands.
