Boc the Seamster is a character in Elden Ring.

Boc the Seamster is a shy demi-human who becomes the Tarnished's personal tailor. He is first found in Limgrave, trapped in the shape of a small tree by a spell. Once his sewing needle is recovered from Coastal Cave, he follows the Tarnished across the Lands Between. He alters garments at no cost, and his questline ends with a choice about his wish to be reborn.

Lore

Boc is a demi-human who speaks humbly and calls himself a servant of the Tarnished. When first met, a spell has turned him into a small tree.

His mother was a seamstress, and Boc longs to follow in her steps. He lived among the demi-humans of Coastal Cave until his own kin cast him out and took everything he owned.

Boc feels deep shame about how he looks. He hopes that Queen Rennala might grant him rebirth into a more beautiful form, a hope that can lead him to his death in the Grand Library.

Quest

The steps below follow Boc's questline from start to finish.

Strike the small talking tree in Limgrave to break the spell and speak to Boc to receive Mushrooms.
Find him wounded beside the Coastal Cave Site of Grace.
Defeat the Demi-Human Chiefs in Coastal Cave and give Boc the Sewing Needle.
Find him at later Sites of Grace, starting at Lake-Facing Cliffs, where he alters garments for free.
Give him the Gold Sewing Needle from the Church of Vows while carrying alterable demigod armor so he can alter it.
At East Capital Rampart he asks whether he is ugly; use the Prattling Pate "You're Beautiful" in front of him to keep him content.
Giving him a Larval Tear instead sends him to Rennala for rebirth, and he dies soon after.

Notes

The Sewing Needle and Tailoring Tools stay in the inventory, so garments can still be altered at any Site of Grace for runes.
The Prattling Pate "You're Beautiful" is found in the Hermit Village on Mt. Gelmir.
Speaking to Melina about Boc at the East Raya Lucaria Gate is part of the Gold Sewing Needle step.
