The Eternal Darkness is a Night sorcery in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find in Caelid.
Eternal Darkness is a forbidden sorcery of Sellia, originally a lost sorcery of the Eternal City that gives form to the despair that brought about its ruin. It creates an orb of darkness for ten seconds that draws in sorceries and incantations which track their target, holding them in orbit until they or the orb expire, and it can be cast on the move. Spells with a fixed path such as Cannon of Haima are not pulled in, nor are night sorceries, moon sorceries or physical arrows and bolts. It can neutralize many boss projectiles, including most of Rennala's spells, the meteorites of both Radahn fights and Rykard's skulls, but captured spells still hurt while orbiting, so standing right under the orb is risky. It suits casters and PvP players who face spell-heavy opponents.
Effect
Creates a sphere of darkness for 10 seconds that pulls in incoming sorceries and incantations and holds them in orbit; it can be cast while moving. Each cast costs 25 FP and takes up one memory slot.
